  • A fun read. I enjoy the author's style. Interesting characters. Looking forward to the next story.

  • Great sci fi adventure. But this universe and this book are dark. The characters and story are interesting, the pirates are evil, and I liked Veronik and Berne. I would enjoy a sequel to Ice Duchess.

  • This was such a great read. I'm really enjoying the Takamo Universe books, and this one was no different. I've never read anything by Shona Husk before, so this was a great introduction to her. After reading some other fictional works based on Mars (I'm sure we can all think of that most famous recent one), this one caught my eye. I'm glad I decided to read it. It's about a war between two Martian factions -- the tech-loving, self-augmenting, in-charge faction and those that seek a simpler and less commercial life. This short story set shows the progression through the sometimes intellectual, sometimes violent war.
